Our Common Roots the film is exceptional in the way it shares ideas and the motivation to do something with plants.

While working with the plants you feel a sense of belonging to something that is not only in understanding the traditional healing CULTURES from around the world but also a grounding feeling of perhaps having been here before and that somehow it may bring back a recollection of ideas from the past. Health and vitality can be achieved through integrating the best of both modern and traditional methods. Any honest filmmaker should tell you that the silence in the forests is currently deafening and real.

The lack of background sounds in the footage without the birds was so sharply defined. So we at Our Common Roots added bird sounds to most plant talks. In the past nature had provided the bird songs in abundance through the forests. I ask anyone who is reading this to look into what we are doing and allowing to take place that has such an enormous impact on not only humanity but to Earth and all of her inhabitants.

This film is an educational documentary of sorts, studying the traditional use of plants as medicine and food; plants that are highly regarded in both legend and modern science. The first in a series, covers medicinal, nutritional and Ayurvedic properties of over 30 medicinal plants of the forest, field and garden.
